What is inside the slab decides where the cut goes
A slab is never just concrete. Reinforcement, post-tension cables and conduit all run through it, and a drawing from 2009 is not evidence of where they sit today.
We run GPR across the cut zone, mark findings on the surface, and issue a plan with depths noted. If the cut has to move, you find out in the survey, not mid-shutdown.

Common questions
How much does concrete cutting cost in Abu Dhabi and Dubai?
Pricing depends on method, concrete thickness and reinforcement, site access, and
whether work runs in normal hours or on a night shift. Core drilling is priced per hole by diameter and
depth; sawing and demolition per linear or square metre. Mobilisation is charged once per visit, so
batching openings into one attendance costs far less than three callbacks.
Do you scan before cutting, and is it charged separately?
Yes, and it is included in the quoted price for any structural cut. We run ground
penetrating radar over the cut zone to locate reinforcement, post-tension cables and embedded services,
then mark findings on the surface before setting up. If the survey shows a conflict we tell you before
equipment mobilises.
Can you work in occupied buildings and at night?
Most of our work in occupied hotels, malls, hospitals and offices runs outside business
hours. We handle permit paperwork with building management, isolate the area, and use vacuum extraction
and slurry bunding to keep dust and water out of adjoining spaces. Night shifts carry a rate uplift,
stated in the quote.
How deep can you cut?
Wall saws reach roughly 800 mm in one pass, deeper by cutting from both faces. Floor
saws reach around 500 mm. Diamond wire sawing has no practical depth limit and is the method for mass
concrete and thick foundations. Core drilling runs Ø25 to Ø600 mm beyond a metre deep.
What do you need from me to give a price?
A marked-up drawing is ideal, but a photograph with dimensions written on it works. We
need location, concrete thickness if known, number and size of openings, and whether the structure is
reinforced or post-tensioned. Mention difficult access or an occupied building early.
